After breakfast, it's off to the parade. The kids really got into the candy grabbing this year and even Braydi could hold her own. She's a fiesty little thing and she really likes candy!
The kids had a great time in the bounce house/slide. (well worth the 1.00 for 15 minutes)
They both asked to ride horses which is a major improvement from last year's freak out.
After all the fun in the park, we ventured back to Dave and Dani's for some lunch and swimming. Luke loves their slide which doubles as a waterslide when the kids stick a hose at the top and a slip and slide off the bottom. They turned on the sprinklers and played until some of the older boys started bringing home the fish they caught at the park. Luke broke down and had wanted to catch a fish too, so I grabbed his flip flops and we ran back to the park and got in the pool just at the tail end of his age group. He was an animal chasing those fish around and finally came up with a dandy. I was so... proud of him and he was pretty pleased himself.
After a short nap, it was off to the derby. Our boys love to watch the cars crash almost as much as Cory does.
