Mt. Timpanogos waterfall

So, before we came home on sunday, We thought it would be fun to take the kids on a hike to tire them out so they would sleep on the way home. We decided to hike to the Mt. Timpanogos waterfall which sounded simple enough. Well, the hike up was georgous. The trees were all turning, the weather was just right, or so we thought. Luke ran up the trail (for 100 yds.) then we carried the boys the rest of the way. At the waterfall, we roasted hotdogs on a little campstove and Luke contributed to the waterfall. All was perfect, that is, until it started pouring rain. It was a beautiful day and then it rained, hard, and we never saw it coming. We were totally unprepared the kids were screaming and cold, so we picked up the kids and ran down the mountain. It was a very memorable experience.

You gotta love those unexpected rainbursts! I am so excited you have a blog so we can keep up with each other. I miss having you so close by (because ten minutes away is practically an eternity!)

That's how you remember those fun family outings. I love the pic of Luke "contributing to the waterfall."
