I would take the Zoo over Disneyland any day. We had such a great time with Grandman and Grandpa Langston, Amy and the Animals. It was a cool 101 degrees, but with the trees and a slight breeze, it really wasn't that bad.
Luke and Brett Love to get maps and tell us where we are, and where we are going next.
Posing in front of the Big Elephant, They have a baby elephant named Zuri that the kids loved. It was playing in the water, and the big one kept taking drinks with it's trunk that was pretty entertaining.
Hanging out with the monkeys
Because there was no Hippopotomus at the zoo, we sang, "I want a big rhinocerous for Christmas."
The Polar Bear was one of the big reasons for the trip. It was worth it and Cory was so.. happy to finally get to see him. It put on a great show diving in the water, pushing off the glass in front of us, and doing the backstroke across the pool.
The Polar bear would do it's dive then get out and walk into it's den, then go back out to dive some more. It did this quite a few times.
Brett was really excited to see the tigers
Had to ride the carousel!!
Watched a bird show
We're growing a bunch of gorillas, well almost!
Finishing up the day with a train ride
The kids each picked a stuffed animal, I think if it weren't for the souvineers at the zoo, this would have been a really cheap trip. I love that Braydi's zeebra (giraffe) has a diaper on. Luke named his Gorilla Yukko because the gorilla we were watching sat in his poop and so appropriately, Brett named his polar bear cleany because he was clean :)
The kids (and Cory) spent a lot of time at the pool too, great vacation!
